TSW14J56EVM: Query about ground connections

Part Number: TSW14J56EVM

Hello,

I am using both the TSW14J56 pattern generator evaluation board and TSW38J84 modulator board. I currently have both boards mounted to an earthing plate and wanted to know should I connect one of the 0v or ground connections on either board, to the earth plate?

    Is the earthing plate just an earth ground for safety reasons? If so it should be ok.

    Typically there is no need for this reference to earth gnd, but I don't see any reason it would be a problem unless you have some noise on that earthing plate connection.
