Part Number: ADC12D1800RFRB
I am in need of a compatible data capture card for the ADC12D1800RFRB at speeds greater than 1GSPS. Would something like the TSW1400EVM work?

Hi Jeremy
The ADC12D1800RFRB has an on-board FPGA to support built-in data capture capabilities up to 32k samples.
Is that capture depth not sufficient?
Do you want to use the FMC expansion port to allow larger capture records?
Best regards,

Hi Jeremy
The ADC12D1800RFRB was originally designed as a standalone platform using the on-board FPGA and uC to do data capture and buffering. The data is then transferred via USB to the Wavevision5 software on a Windows PC for display and analysis. Unfortunately TI doesn't make any other boards to interface with the ADC12D1800RFRB, so the software mentioned in the referenced TI Designs isn't directly applicable.
At one time a special build of Wavevision5 firmware/software was developed to support CER testing on the ADC10D1000QML-SP device. I am checking to see if that version is still available and if it can work with the current ADC12D1800RFRB. I'll respond with an update as soon as I can.
Best regards,

Hi Jeremy
I have found some information from a colleague. It sounds like the existing version of CER software is not directly compatible with the ADC12D1800RFRB board. I'm doing more investigating to see if the software or firmware can be modified to work with this board, or what other alternatives exist.
While I do that can I get a little more background on the reason you want to do CER measurements?
This ADC has been designed to have extremely low CER due to converter metastability, with estimated occurrence at 1 error per 10^18 samples. At 1.8 GHz clock rate this corresponds to one per 17.6 years.

Hi Jeremy
Unfortunately there isn't a version of CER testing firmware that will work on the ADC12D1800RFRB.
If there is any other information I can provide that would help please let me know.
Best regards,
Jim B
