ADS130E08: Momentary input current

Part Number: ADS130E08
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS131E08

Hi,

I'd like to understand more in detail the momentary input current consumption of 100mA mentioned in the datasheet ABS max ratings table.

- What is the condition when input current ramps up to 100mA?

- Is this current drawn from AVDD or DVDD and how long it will last?

- Do I need to take this into account while designing the power supply or are the recommended bypass capacitors enough?

Thanks

  • Hi Tuomas ,

I believe you are misinterpreting the ABS MAX table of the ADS131E08. That 'momentary current' is short circuit current into any single pin, it is not current consumption under normal circumstances. The power supply current requirements are listed on page 5, those are the values you need to consider in the design phase of your project.
