DAC38J84: Level of spurs due to periodic SYSREF

Hello

My customer needs to update the NCO frequency every 3.5uS. He send the FTW using SPI and then uses SYSREF as sync in order to have a deterministic latency and exact time period between each frequency change.

I have read in some application note that when using periodic SYSREF there are spurs at the DAC output. Please provide a method to predict the location and level of those spurs as a function of SYSREF frequency.

If you have other alternatives for a periodic change in the NCO freq without using periodic SYSREF (and still keeping det. latency) and avoiding those spurs please let me know.

Thanks

Izik
