PGA900: current of programing for EEPROM

Part Number: PGA900

Hi team

My customer wants to know the current of programing for  EEPROM at bi-wire 4-20mA.

I think this device will be supplied from the controller.

Is it correct understanding, the current of programing EEPROM 9mA(max) will add to bi-wire 4-20mA?

Best regards

Hayashi

  • Hello Hayashi-san,

The max current will be 9mA as you have stated. The programming operation itself uses about 6mA, and the normal operation of the device uses 2.6mA max given no load on VBRG, no load on DAC, and f = 1Mhz.

So in short, yes the programming operation will add on to the Idd current, and it adds 6mA.

    Regards,
