DAC8775: Finding the best DAC for an Industrial PLC application

Dear Team,

a Factory&Automation customer is looking for a DAC for their PLC module project.

The requirements are:

4 channels
16 bits resolution
±12V output
Update rate at least 8kHz

Can you help choosing the most suitable TI device?

Hi Bartosz,

Is the request for only a voltage output DAC, or would it additionally require current sourcing, such as 4 to 20mA range?

You've included the DAC8775 with this post, which does seem to be the device that mostly matches all of the criteria in your original post:

+-12V range
16-bit DAC, with +-0.1% FSR TUE
The settling time of the DAC is 30us, for -10 to 10V Range (to +-0.03% FSR)
Quad-channel

I believe we may have a few other voltage output DACs that may reside in the +-15V Range, however , a majority of these DACs are single channel. I'll double check to confirm.
