PGA970: Practical resolution achievable at the output of PGA970

Part Number: PGA970

Hi,

We are thinking of using PGA970 as a part of Paper and Cardboard thickness measurement gauge. While looking at the internal block diagram of PGA970 I realized that even though it uses 24 bit internal ADCs at the input side, the output is generated by a 14 bit DAC. So in our case, if we use a 24 bit ADC to connect PGA970 to MSP432, will it really be able to give that much resolution or will it be limited to 14 bits because of the DAC?

Regards,

Nikhil
