Registers of TVP5150BPS and TVP5150BPSAM1

When I compare the list of registers between TVP5150BPS and TVP5150BPSAM1 models I see different names and different default. What are the differences between the models that make recommended TVP5150BPSAM1 as an alternative TVP5150BPS TI's website, and what TVP5150BPSAM1 improves device.

    Hello Itzik,

    The TVP5150 is NRND (Not recommended for New designs).  We will most likely obsolete the earlier version sometime next year.  These are a few improvement in TVP5150AM1 over the TVP5150:

    • New horizontal and vertical algorithm that improve lock to weak signal, VCR trickmode, and non-standard signal.
    • Improve AGC and ALC algorithm
    • Improve MacroVision detection
