TSW1400EVM: Parallel operation of ADC and DAC boards possible?

Hello,

is it possible to use a ADC and DAC board in parallel (simultaneously) with the TSW1400EVM and the High-Speed Data Converter Pro Software? For example to simulate a communication channel with transmitter and receiver.

Or, if not, is it possible to synchronize/couple two TSW1400EVMs where one uses an ADC board and one a DAC board to build up a complete Tx-Rx chain.

Benjamin,

No. The board only supports one mode at a time. There is a chance you could do this yourself if you wanted to provide the custom source code and software. I think the hardware is in place to allow this.

Is it then possible to synchronize or couple 2 TSW1400EVMs, where one uses the DACs and one uses the ADCs?

Benjamin,

Yes. If you arm both TSW1400EVM's to use the trigger input, when you apply a common trigger to both boards, the ADC will do a capture at the same time the DAC will get a test pattern that will restart when the trigger occurs.
