ADC16V130: Help With Date Code Identification

Hello,

We have a customer who ordered the ADC16V130CISQE/NOPB from the TI Store.

The customer is asking for the date code.

I know this request sounds rudimentary, but the numbers seem ambiguous and out of place for this device (unless it's very old stock):

1^st line: VM17ABE3

2^nd line: ADC16V130

We have referred to this TI document:

We have discussed this internally, and no one is clear on this.

My read is October, 2011.

Could someone please have a look at this and provide some feedback?

Hi Gabe

That device was manufactured using the National Semiconductor production system so that is the correct document to refer to.

Given the marking of VM17ABE3 I get the following:

V - Fab location is South Portland, ME

M - Assembly and test location is Malacca, Malaysia

17 - Tested and packaged in 2011 somewhere from week 42 to 47. (This is before TI acquisition of National Semiconductor).

AB - Die run code for that time period

I'm not sure what the E3 information indicates.
