PGA970EVM: How to run PGA970EVM GUI

Part Number: PGA970EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA970, USB2ANY

Hi,

We have purchased PGA970EVM to evaluate PGA970.
The GUI software and the necessary LabVIEW are installed as per the procedure.
After connecting the EVM through USB2any, the GUI recognizes the board and the
Hardware is Connected properly. All the jumper connections are at default state(Factory Setting)
VDD Selection Jumper set to VDD_OWI(also tried connecting only VPWR).,

But we are not able to get any of the analog(ADC/DAC) working.
READ ADC(ADC1 data) is all Zero. The temperature sensor is also zero.

Is it required to program the EVM befor connecting to the GUI?
Is there anything else to be done to get proper reading from PGA970EVM?

The power supply seems OK.. all the Test point voltages a seems goood.
Have tried with the same settings mentioned on this E2E and also with
two different PCs, but no success.

  • Hi Paddu,

Can you please confirm for me the GUI version, and the firmware version loaded onto the USB2ANY? There is a firmware loader located in this folder that should have been installed with the GUI here: C:\Program Files (x86)\TI USB2ANY SDK\bin\

Also, is this being run on a PC with Windows 7 or higher?

    Thanks,
  • Hi Scott,

    Thank you.

We are using the latest GUI version on the web Ver:1.6.0.0.
Have tried firmware loader also...Actually the GUI has the
    latest firmware update for USB2ANY.

PC we are using is Windows 7.

PGA970's power supply seems to be fine...ADDD/DVDD are as per the spec.

Could you please confirm that PGA970EVM works with the default factory settings
and there is no need to program it before connecting to the GUI ?

    Regards
    Paddu
