AMC7836: question about power

Part Number: AMC7836

Hi

My customer is adopting AMC7836. Pin1 is 3.3V. PIN50/PIN62/PIN20/PIN57 is 5V. PIN17 is -6V. PA negative voltage is provided by PIN15/PIN16/PIN18/PIN19.

Customer wonders, to keep PIN15/PIN16/PIN18/PIN19 voltage, which pins must be power up(PIN1/PIN50/PIN62/PIN20/PIN57)?

Regards

David

  • Hi David,

Only AVEE needs to be powered to keep the DACA0,1,2,3 DACs clamped to a negative value. Once any gets low enough for a POR event, all DACs will go to the clamp voltage. As AVEE is -6V, the A group of DACs will assume ~-5V as the clamp value.

    Does this answer your question?

    Thanks!
