AFE4300: Calculation of BIS implementation using IQ mode

Part Number: AFE4300

Hi

I would like to understand that the calculation for "BIS implementation using IQ mode".

However I don't understand where the following values(549,96 and -2.33) comes from.

Could you give me how can I calculated the value.

(I understand the value is theoretical mag and phase. But how does "-2.33" is calculated?)

I would like to know the calculation process of the values.

Koji Hamamoto

  • Hi Koji,

For a series RC network, the total impedance will be R - jXc, Where Xc is reactance of capacitor and it is given be 1/(2*pi*f*C).
Now magnitude of the impedance network will be Sqrt(R^2 + Xc^2) and Phase will be ARCTAN(-Xc/R), where ARCTAN is inverse of TAN function.
So if you put R = 549.5 , C = 0.111uF and f = 64KHz in the above formulas, you will get the magnitude of 549.95 Ohm and Phase of -2.33.
