ADS1230: ADS1230 Chip gets hang while put sudden weight on loadcell when power supply is connected.

hi,

i am ajay kumar.i am facing a problem to use ads1230 chip. ADS1230 Chip gets hang while put sudden weight on loadcell when  power supply is connected. But,ads1230 chip is working fine without power supply.

Ads 1230 interfaced  with Arduino uno using 3 gpio pins. One gpio use as receive  data ,second gpio as clock pulse and third gpio as power down .  

problem:

when chip gets hang  i got 524288 value  (when sudden weight comes withpower supply)

    Hi Ajay,

    Can you send me a drawing or schematic of how you have the ADS1230 connected to the Arduino, the load cell and to the power supplies (AVDD, DVDD and reference)?  Also include all connections for the ADS1230 including gain, speed and pdwn pins.  Are you using a prototype board?

    Can you also explain to me what you mean by the ADS1230 working without the power supply?  The ADS1230 should not work without all supplies properly powered on.  If you see the ADS1230 working without AVDD actively connected, then you are routing power through the input pins which will violate the absolute maximum specifications.
