ADS1256: ADS1256 FULL SCALE CALIBRATION FSC0-FSC2

Part Number: ADS1256

I 'm trying to adopt Ti product 1256 on a differantial input loadcell based weight scale device. now i 'm preparing software for it.

when device restart all calibration values are changing. i made registers by using spi interface like this.

STATUS REGISTER 30h 3 is chip id 0 is all auto calibration disabled, buffen disabled ..

MUX register has 01h value by default. input 01

ADCON register has 06h gain is 64

DRATE data rate register is 82h 100sps

OFC AND FSC IS WORKING UNWANTED CHANGING ITSELF

I DONT WANT CHIPS INTERNAL CALIBRATION.

HOW CAN I GET ADC DATA WITHOUT OFFSET SUBSTRACTION AND FULL SCALE MULTIPLATION?

MY MICROCONTROLLER HAS 128MB MEMORY AND WORKS ON 400MHz.

please ti give me free data. i have datasheet of ads1256 and its only giving formula and dont have any part for disabling device internal calibration..

  • Hi Abdulkadir,

Welcome to the TI E2E forums!

The ADS1256 does perform a self-calibration after reset, no matter how the ACAL register setting is configured.

To revert back to the nominal calibration values (no scaling), you can reference Table 18 in the ADS1256 datasheet to reprogram the OFC and FSC registers to their ideal values after resetting the device.

    Does that answer your question?

    Best regards,
    Chris
