CCS/ADS1298ECGFE-PDK: Issue with ECG project build using CCS4 and ADS1298ECGSystem_v1.12

Part Number: ADS1298ECGFE-PDK

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am attempting to set up an ADS1298ECG FE for ECG monitoring using the TMS320C5155 EVM.  The issue is with getting the software to interface properly with the modules.  I was able to get the C5155 to be recognized by CCS4.  The problem is getting the ECG application loaded.  When I import the project from the folder "ADS1298ECGSystem_v1.12" and try and build active project, I get multiple errors and the build fails.  I need to ensure I have the right software for the hardware I am trying to set up.  The errors that I am seeing are referring to what appear to be files being referred to in the scripts that do not exist in the target folder.  There are two files in particular; "std.h" (occurs 6 times) and "trc.h" (occurs 1 time).

Please respond asap as there is a bit of a time factor involved with this project.

  • Keith,

Please take a look at this post. It details the steps to take in order to get an error-free build with CCS. Hopefully this will help resolve your build errors.

If you have other questions or issues with the application itself or its functionality I would suggest posting to the C5000 device forum as the experts there would be able to assist best with that.

  • Thanks for the input. I used the file offered in the link and now I get a Source not found error related to the ECG System.out file. I have tried to point the browser to the file, but no success. By the way, how do i move this post over to the C5000 device forum?

I would have expected that clicking on Browse (or Locate File) and pointing to the source file should have fixed that issue. I'm not sure why that didn't work.

To move a thread, you would need to click on the "More" button below the first post, and there is an option there to "Move". I know that forum administrators can move threads, but I'm not sure if the original poster can. Having said that, in this case I would still suggest starting a new post in the C5000 forum if you have follow-on questions about the application itself, as the original issue with build errors is resolved. That way the new question will not get missed or inadvertently mistaken as resolved. You could also provide a link to this thread from your new thread as a reference. When you create a new post, you should be presented with the option to choose a forum, where you can choose C5000 DSP forum.
