RTOS/ADS1292: ADS1292 schematics design question

Part Number: ADS1292

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi Sir

I have some questions about ADS1292 schematics design questions as followings.

My application is two polarities at CH1.

There are two ways for RLDIN and RLDOUT connected with AVDD without RLD function.

Could you share some comments with me? Thank you a lot.

  • Hi Sir
    Add questions as below.
    1. If We don't RLD function, may we disable RLD amp is correct? Need connected with GND?
    2. We use PAD touch at CH1(not lead connection), but RLD is connected lead way. Is it OK?

    Thanks for your great support.
  • Hello Hugo,

Thank you for your interest in our ADS1292!

The RLD amplifier can be powered down if you are not using it by setting RLD_SENS[5] to '0'. The RLDOUT pin can be left floating. RLDIN should be connected to AVDD if unused.

I'm not sure what you mean by this question. Can you explain further? Do you have a schematic that you can share?

    Best Regards,

    Hi Quote sir

Our product is 3 electrodes with RLD function using ADS1292.

There are 3 pad on our product (CH1 and RLD) and a 3-pin connector for lead connected (CH2 and RLD).

    1. Can user contact the CH1 pad with finger and RLD with lead cable? (left the RLD pad float, using the RLD lead)

How about the performance different between user's finger and Right leg?

    2. If user doesn't contact the RLD pad and lead to his body, can we just setting the config to powered down the RLD amplifier without connect the RLDIN to AVDD? (The default schematic RLDIN is connected to RLD electrode as reference schematic)

Please refer schematics as attachment. If you have any comments, please help to share it with us. Thank you a lot.
