ADS1243: What is the current consumption with PGA 8 Buffer off?

Part Number: ADS1243

The Data sheet for the ADS1243 only gives current consumption at a PGA=1 and PGA = 128.  I am using a PGA of 8 with buffer off, what current consumption can I expect?

Thank you.

  • Paul,

In the ADS1243, with the buffer off, the PGA=1 and PGA=128 the typical ADC currents are given as 190uA and 460uA.

For the PGA=8 condition, the ADC current consumption increases only moderately compared to the PGA=1 setup. My guess would be that current would run about 220uA to 230uA.
