ADS1296: PACE Out's Dead

Part Number: ADS1296

Been using this ECG front end part for 4+ years with no problems until today.  Wanted to use the Pace_Out pins and having trouble.  Set the Pace register for Pace amps ON ( bit 0 high) and for routing IN3 out PACE2 and IN2 out PACE1, so the register was written with 00000011.

Then I probed these PACE out pins expecting to see the test ECG signals being input IN2 and IN3 and close to the same level as the raw input ( we have the PGA's for In2 and In3 set for gain of 2).

Problem: these Pace Out's have no signal on them, other than they are DC offset to -1.25V.  Overall the balance of the operation is still OK, we can see the signals being input to IN2 and IN3  after reading the A/D and outputting to our display.  I see that with your advice for connecting these PACE out's to be used for pace detection, there is AC coupling.  We are not using these outs for pace detect, but rather just for the buffered PGA output.  We also, AC coupled the scope and still see no signal on these PACE outs.   Please Help!
