Hello,

I connected ADC1 (J7) to a constant voltage source of 1v. Following shows the output displyed from the Data Analyis Tool provided with the EVM. I was expecting a straight line. Why is it oscillating ? Is this expected ? Can I remove this by setting some Bits of the register ?

What register settings do you have in the ADS131A04? How are you applying the input and ground?

i used the predefined script given in the tool kit. Name : Basic startup with Datarate @ 8kSPS
Script will be:
UNLOCK
WREG 0D 02
WREG 0E 48
WAKEUP
WREG 0F 0F
REGMAP

I did change the Sampling rate to a lower value by changing the CLK2 register. MODCLK = ICLK/4 and SMAPLECLK = MODCLK/1024

J7+ is connected to positive terminal.
J7- is connected to negative terminal.

Technically : 1.0 V is comming across the J7 pins

Is the 1V source just your basic bench-top power supply? I'll take a closer look at this on our end and see if I can reproduce the setup.

Yes. its a bench-top power supply. I tried to capture the signal using an NI board and it seems the power supply is faulty.
