ADS1299: Impedance measurement difference between patient and fixed resistance

Part Number: ADS1299

Hi,

I am using ADS1299 for EEG measurement. EEG data which i captured is ok. but when i captured real time impedance on patient body then it gives some error.

each time when i connect a new electrode on my board the value of the previous channel impedance increase by one, same happened when i connect 3rd  electrode  the impedance of first and second electrode increase by  one. so overall if i connect 10 electrode then the  impedance vary on the first electrode is (impedance when First is connect +10). i don't understand such type of behavior of the chip.

I used 6 uA and 7Hz frequency for impedance measurement.

if some one know about this problem then please help me.

Thanks and Regards

  • Hello Rohit,

    Thanks for evaluating our ADS1299!

Can you please share a schematic to show how your electrodes are connected to the ADC inputs? Also, what are the complete register settings that are used for the device?

Remember that the impedance measurement is analyzing the differential impedance between INxP and INxN for that channel.

    Best Regards,
