Dear TI sir :

The Problems are....

1.We found there is REG0x17 R/W action when ADS131E08EVM-PDK is testing.
but ADS131E08 datasheet has no information about REG0x17.
Can you provide detailed information about REG0x17 ?

2. What influence does the OFFSETCAL calibration command have on the results of the measured data ?
How is the EVM board calibrated?

3. Could you provide ADS131E08EVM-PDK code ?

Hi Terry,

At what point in your testing of the ADS131E08EVM-PDK do you see reads/writes to REG 0x17? There is no such register in the ADS131E08 so at the moment, I don't know what that might be. The OFFSETCAL function is described in section 9.5.3.7. Basically the command forces the inputs short, determines what the internal offset is, and then adds or subtracts that value from subsequent conversion results. We do not do anything 'special' with the EVM for calibration purposes. The source code for the ADS131E08EVM-PDK is on our public FTP site here:

1、we see the reg 0x17 configuration information on page 22 in the Key Document ADS131E08 User's Guide (Rev. B) ，but no Reg 0x17 the ADS131E08 datasheet，so we don't konw information CONFIG4（0x17）。

2、we can't open the FTP site，pls send the code to us （chenlin@leadcoretech.com）

Thank you for pointing that out Terry. The gentleman who wrote the Users Guide for the ADS131E08 is no longer with TI, so I'll ask around and see if that was just a typographical error or perhaps a test register from early silicon. Either way, there is no CONFIG4 register at address 0x17 in the production silicon and the UG will have that entry removed on it's next update.
