Hey guys, 

I am going to use PCB Piezotornics vibration sensor 640B01, can I use the ADS1118 to convert the Analog singal to Digital signal for my DAQ?

    I'm not very familiar with this type of piezo vibration sensor. However, the ADS1118 should be able to measure input voltages from GND to VDD as long as GND is at a ground and VDD is less than 5.5V.

    Because the 640B01 is driven from a 4-20mA loop, you could use a sense resistor of 100Ω so that a 4mA signal becomes 400mV and a 20mA signal becomes 2V. This allows you to use the default range of ±2.048V. Make sure that the input signal does not exceed VDD by more than 0.3V.
