TSW14J56EVM: Bulk transfer out failure when the pattern file was writen to DDR memory in trigger mode

Part Number: TSW14J56EVM

 Hello,

We had an issue with TSW14J56EVM when the pattern file is written to DDR memory in trigger mode. Based on communication with TI apps engineer, it seems to be HW defective.

We had received the followings when we had contacted Mouser for the replacement. Can you please help us getting the approval?

For all defective development tools:

The customer must first contact TI via E2E forum at http://e2e.ti.com/ to verify the failure.  If the TI tech determines the part could be defective, please have the customer provide communication string to validate TI’s approval to return/replace the kit. Once the string has been verified, then have the customer return the kit to Mouser Corporate office  and send the customer a replacement, if they want one.

  • Jason,

What is the status of the LED's on the TSW14J56EVM in this mode? Does the board work when not setup for trigger mode?

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Hi Jim,

The board works well not set up for trigger mode.

    Jason
  • Jason,

When attempting trigger mode, if you a DAC EVM plugged in and providing a clock to the TSW14J56EVM, and you had a SMA-to-SMA cable connected between the TRIG IN SMA J13 and one of the Trig OUT SMA's (J7, J8, or J12), and under the trigger option tab have both "Trigger Mode Enable" and "Software Trigger Enable" selected, and the GUI gave you the error you reported, then the board is probably defective and needs to be returned for a replacement board.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Thank you, Jim
