ADS1293EVM: Lead off detection for dry electrode

Hi,

 I have using ADS1293 EVM for dry electrode. Lead off detection is not properly work for dry electrode. but work fine in disposable electrode.

    Hi Prabhu,

    Welcome to our e2e Forum and thank you for the interest in the ADS1293! Can you tell us what the difference is between the electrodes you are using? I could assume the disposable ones are 'not dry', but if you can provide some part numbers, we may be able to give you some insight as to what is happening on your end.

    hi,

    I am using ADS1293EVM with customized dry electrodes( braze metal gold coated 5mm diameter electrodes).

    Without placing electrodes on chest some times. The OUT_LDO register status indicate lead is present, ERROR_LOD (0x18) , OUT_LDO [5:0] - [000000]

    Hi Prabhu,

    Two things you can try is to change are the threshold of the DC Lead-Off Comparator and the Lead-Off Current Magnitude. The different electrodes might have different impedances. You can read more about Lead-Off on page 24 of the ADS1293 Datasheet.
