ADC32RF45: ADC32RF45

Part Number: ADC32RF45

Hello,

My question is about sysref mode recommended for adc32f45. should I use continous(periodic pulse) sysref mode or aperiodic multi-shot pulses mode. Also would you recommend to mask clkdiv sysref  asser so that clk divider doesnt get reset each time sysref is asserted especially in continous sysref mode? Does resetting the clk divider everytime sysref is asserted cause any problems?

Thanks for your valuable answers.

  • Hello E.G.,

You can use SYSREF either as a continuous periodic or multi-shot aperiodic signal as described in datasheet. When you use a continuous periodic signal on SYSREF, there is a chance that SYSREF can couple to analog inputs of device, and therefore negatively impact the performance. So you should power down either the SYSREF driver or the SYSREF input buffer of device or both when device configuration is finished.

Resetting the clk divider by periodic SYSREF signal does not cause a problem if SYSREF frequency is correctly chosen (see datasheet).
