TSW14J56EVM: Error while connecting to the board

Hi , I am working with TSW14J56EVM board and I have downloaded the software HDSC Pro GUI. However the board does not seems to be connected to the software. I went through the sofware manual (slwu087d.pdf) and followed all the steps but the board is not connected to the software. In the software manual (slwu087.pdf) , in Figure 5 , I dont see USB serial converter A.B,C, D and in Figure 6 , instead of seeing FX3 USB StreamerExample device , I see Cypress FX3 USB bootloader Device , after connecting the board to PC.

Please recommend what could be the error and why the board is not connected to the software?

Hi Mohsin
Did you have High Speed Data Converter Pro software installed before connecting the TSW14J56EVM to the PC the first time?
What type of 5V DC power supply do you have powering the TSW14J56EVM?
What is the current capability of the supply?

Please verify the jumpers on your board match the position shown in Figure 4 of the attached document. Have you tried running the GUI as system administrator?

Hi Jim,
I did not connect the board during or before installation of the software. I am using an AC power adapter as a supply with specifications as follows :
Input 100-240V AC , 50/60Hz 0.3A
Output : 5V DC 1A

Yes the jumper positions are correct and I am running the GUI as administrator.

Mohsin,

Are all of the blue power status LED's on? Can you go to the link below and download the Cypress installer GUI and try reprogramming the USB3.0 flash device using the instructions that are in the document I sent?

Your power supply needs to provide at least 3A.

yes all the blue LEDs are on. When I did PMODE Jumper settings for USB Boot Mode, click on Program SPI Flash , my serial number programmed on the right was something weird. I tried multiple times. Also program status led does not light up in the software. Please find attachment to see what I got.

Did you change out your 1A supply to a 3A supply?

I changed it to 2.5A. Do you think that might be the problem? because D10 (power LED) is just working fine.
