TSW1400EVM: Synchronizing two TSW1400evm

Part Number: TSW1400EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS4249EVM, DAC3482

We are using two tsw1400evm. One is connected to ADS4249evm and other is connected to DAC3482evm. We are sending data from DAC and capturing from ADC.

1. How can we synchronise two TSW1400evm?

2. We are using DAC at 1.23GHz and ADS has the maximum working range of 250MHz. On what frequency should we operate the ADS to capture the data? Can we set any frequency which we can get by dividing 1.23GHz by an integer?

  • Mayank,
I have sent your question over to an engineer that can review your setup.

  • Hi Mayank,

Yes, you can synchronize two TSW1400EVM s by using the trigger functionality explained in the HSDC Pro User's Guide  Section 3.1.3.4 will be helpful.

Are you attempting to match the data-rates of both the ADC and DAC? One option would be to interpolate by 8x on the DAC3482 (2x, 4x, 8x or 16x are options), so your ADC would be able to sample at the same data rate (1.23 GHz /8 = 153.75 MHz).

Are you using this as a real-time application, or are you performing some post-processing?

    Best Regards,

    Dan
