ADC12D1000: The input data on the oscillograph and after the ADC are different.

Part Number: ADC12D1000

The signal output by the ADC has a step which is not present in the input signal. How can this be caused?

On the oscilloscope signals taken directly at the inputs of the ADC.
The second picture is the data given by the ADC.

  • Hi Ilya

I'm not sure what could be causing that behavior.

Can you share the schematic for all of the ADC connections including the points where you are measuring with the oscilloscope?

I notice the discontinuity in the ADC plot occurs right around 4k samples. Is there any possibility that some of the ADC output data is being interrupted or lost?

Can you repeat this test with a sine input to see the behavior?

    Thanks,

    Best regards,

    Jim B

  • >ADC output data is being interrupted or lost?

YES!!!!!!! Thousands of apologies ... indeed, at this point the data is interrupted.

Many thanks. Need more rest :)

    You make excellent ADC :)
