ADS1299EEGFE-PDK: GUI-Hardware

Part Number: ADS1299EEGFE-PDK

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with the ADS1299EEGFE-PDK software communicating with the motherboard and/or daughterboard. I can see the register contents and can change them in the software. However, when I click on "Acquire" button to get the data, the screen freezes (shown below) and nothing happens. I have to restart the board and exit the software to be able to see the registers again.

To give a short history and background, in the beginning, I had the software installed on Windows 10 and I followed the steps described in one of the TI forums to install the drivers required. Everything worked perfectly in the first trial. I could acquire the data and plot it on the GUI. In my second trial, which happened a few days later, I faced the issue mentioned above. I tried other computers and even a computer with Windows 7 but the issue did not resolve.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

  • Hi Aria,

    Welcome to our forum!

I don't see anything wrong with your jumper settings and the 7-segment display looks normal. If you see an "e" at any point, then there is definitely a problem.

Are you able to change the register settings before you click Acquire?

On start-up, can you probe the /DRDY pin (also tied to J3 pin 15) and see if the signal is pulsing low at the default data rate?

    Best Regards,
