DAC0800: Precision Data Converters Forum

Part Number: DAC0800

I wanted bipolar output +-12v analog output,is my schematic correct?,i am not getting any output from above circuit, how can i debug dac0800 output?

Regards

nanualla

  • Hi Nanu,

Thank you for your query. I am not seeing any positive supply on the DAC. Is it a typo or it is left out in the hardware? I am also not able to make out the opamp inverting and non-inverting inputs. Hope you have connected properly.

  • Pin number 13 I should connect to +12v supply?
Pls any correct circuit daigrram is there? Its usefull i want Analog signal (bipolar)
  • Hi Nanu,

You can look at Figure 1 and Figure 23 in datasheet for reference. How are tou building the circuit? On a PCB or breadboard. If it's on a breadboard, please make sure the connections are proper. You can send the voltages you find on each node so that it helps me debug. If possible please send a scope capture of the digital input as well with proper marking.

  • Hi Uttam,

As per Figure 01 ,I made circuit i got somehow analpg output w.r.t digital in.

What i did is i just removed my opamp block. Why my opamp block is not working??

    In dac0800 datasheet

    Fig.22 basic bipolar output  operation

    Fig.23 Symetrical offset binary operation

What is the difference between fig. 22 and fig. 23??

PS:is it my op amp circuit is correct?

  • Hi Nanu,

You can see the difference in the circuits in Table 2 and 3. Your circuit looks correct at high level, but I am not sure if the connections are made proper. Please check them. You can try the circuit in Fig 22 and then Fig 23, if you wish. This will help you debug the circuit better.

  • Hi Nanu,

Do you have any update on this?
