PGA411-Q1: PGA411 application problem

Part Number: PGA411-Q1

The main problem now is:

1, we need to calculate the cycle time of each FOC in the motor control (interruption cycle 125us). We need to quickly visit whether the state data of the spinning state is available. The fault state that the direct IO can access is only SFAULT total failure, and we can not know the specific state of deterioration and loss of the signal.

2, the LOT and DOS signals compared to AD2S1200 can be accessed quickly by IO, and we hope to have similar access methods on PGA411.

  • Shuang,

    1. The only way to determine which fault occurred is to read the fault status registers: DEV_STAT1, DEV_STAT3, and DEV_STAT4. If you look at the Fault Reporting Summary table in the datasheet, you will see that many faults will turn off the exciter and tracking loop outputs. With 8MHz SPI, you should be able to read all three registers in one control cycle.

    2. The PGA411-Q1 fault reporting works differently than the AD2S1200. As stated above, you must check those three DEV_STAT registers to determine which fault occurred.

    Thanks,
