ADS7953: CS signal

Part Number: ADS7953

Hi team,

The rising and failing edge of the CS is not monotony, if it will cause problem?  Thank you.

  • Lilian,

On the ADS7953, the CS falling edge defines the sampling instant of the ADC.

If this device is a part of a signal chain in our application, and you do a spectral analysis of the samples collected, this non-monotonic edge would show up as spurs in your FFT plot.

However, if you are using the ADS7953 in say a monitoring application and do not really care about the periodicity of sampling instant, you should see absolutely no problems to the accuracy of the converted signal due to this non-monotonic CS signal.

    Regards,
    Sandeep
