ADC32RF44: Freezing and bypassing offset corrector

Hello team,

ADC32RF44 datasheet pg.121 shows a procedure of freezing and bypassing the offset corrector.

According to the procedure, we need to wait at least 0.4ms with no signal input condition.

Why do we need to wait for 0.4ms with no signal condition? What can be happened if we perform freezing and bypassing corrector with some input signal? Estimation of mismatch degrades?

Taketo,

If the corrector is bypassed, it doesn't matter when input was applied. If corrector is frozen, then there should not be a signal component near NFS/8, otherwise it will be treated as internal mismatch and corrector will try to remove it too. Therefore as a safe option, it is suggested to not apply a signal when corrector is estimating the mismatch.
