Part Number: ADS1013

Hi team,

My customer wants to know the time from when 0 is written to mode bit
until the first conversion ready pulse is output.

Please let me know.

Best regards,

  • Hi,

The amount of time it takes to go into continuous conversion mode can be calculated from the following:

First, there is a delay of about 20us maximum to allow for the device to start up.

Second the data rate is a factor in the conversion time. If the data rate is 128SPS, this is about 7.8ms. If the data rate is 3300SPS time is 303us.

For the nominal (average) conversion time you add the two together. However, for the maximum conversion time, you need to consider the internal oscillator variation. In that case, the data rate variation is ±10%. If you need the maximum conversion time, add 10% to 1/(data rate) for the calculation.
