ADS4249: Refining ADC Recommendations

I was recommended to use the ADS4249 chip for NTSC video input in this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/high_speed_data_converters/f/68/t/667574

Here is a list of other ADC chips available on FMCs I am interested in. What should I be looking at to determine compatibility with my application?

ADS54J60

ADC12DJ3200

ADC16DX370

ADC12D1800

ADS42LB69

Are any of those chips more in line with what the ADS4249 is capable of than the ADS62P49 (mentioned in the linked thread)? The sample rates being used are currently 7.5 Hz and 30 Hz.

Zachary,

I recommend you look at the data sheet for everyone of those parts and see which ones meet all of your requirements. Next, I would take all of the ones that meet your requirement and price them. This should give you a good idea which part to go with. Some of these parts have JESD204B outputs, which may be harder to work with. Keep this in mind.

Besides I/O bandwidth and sample rates, what do you recommend I give attention to on the datasheets?

Zach,

Designers usually look into analog input frequency range, what voltages are required, how much current the part will consume, what type of digital output they plan on using (CMOS, LVDS, JESD, ect...), SNR, SFDR, THD, output delay, multi-device synchronization, cooling requirements, cost, SPI interface protocol, discrete signal levels, ect....
