Touchscreen Inquiry

I am a student at the University of Texas at Austin and I am currently researching for my senior design project. We are transmitting video and sound wirelessly between a remote control vehicle and a handheld touchscreen remote. I am currently trying to find a remote that would fit the design of my project. I talked to a representative named Travis during a career fair last Wednesday and he told me that TI manufactured touchscreen remotes and to contact TI. I am looking for a touchscreen remote that has the capability of sending and receiving sound, receiving live video feed and transmit control signals to a RC car wirelessly. If you could please let me know what available products you have to offer our group, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi Steven,

    We have a variety of Touch Screen Controllers that could certainly be incorporated into remotes, but we don't actually make remote controls.  There are two basic types of TSCs we produce, some with Audio and some without.  This forum deals specifically with the Touch Screen Only side of the products while the Audio Converters Forum deals with those that incorporate CODEC functions. 

    You can go to www.ti.com and under the Products link, click Data Converters.  From there, scroll down the page to find 'Touch Screen Controller' and choose the Touch Screen Controller with Audio link to get a complete listing of the parts we can offer you for your project.
