ADS8698: ADS8698 Source Resistance

My customer is asking the following question:

Figure 27 of the ADS8698 shows the error vs. source resistance. How far past 20 kohms can this graph be extrapolated linearly?

Can you comment on this? Does it continue linearly or does the error begin to grow exponentially?

Hello Richard,

I think you are talking about Figure 29 in datasheet: Gain Error vs External Resistance. The calculation can be done by the customer, please refer to released app notes as below:

The discussion/calculation is about ADS8588S but it’s same for ADS8698 because both have same input structure and 1MΩ constant input resistance. Thanks.
