ADS1298R: ADS1298R

Part Number: ADS1298R

I am trying to add calibration pulse at the end of ECG data as shown in below graph.

So first i am initializing ADS1298R as Input Short & then I am initializing ADS1298R  as Test Signal  and then sending data so i am getting this type of graph.

my calibration is correct or not?

and if it is not correct so Please suggest me the correct way of adding this calibration pulse.

also TC-20 provides different type of calibration pulse so how i can do that Calibration in ADS1298R.

  • Hi Saloni,

    Thanks for your post.

I'm not very familiar with the different calibration pulses, so thanks for providing some details about that. Is TC-20 a piece of calibration test equipment?

The test signal amplitude in the ADS1298R is configured as either 1mVp or 2 mVp with a typical accuracy of +/- 2% (min / max accuracy is not specified). The IEC standards required the calibration signal to not exceed 5% error, so, technically, you cannot rely on our internal test signal for this calibration requirement.

Also, as we've discussed in earliest posts, the minimum square wave output will be 2mVpp with Gain = 1, which seems to be 2x larger than the calibration requirement you've shown above. Is this the correct y-axis scale that you're using below?:

If you believe this internal test signal is still ok for you to use, then you can simplify your procedure by skipping the input short step and change the MUXn[2:0] settings from "000" to "101."

    Best Regards,
