PGA300: PGA300 (OWI mode)

Part Number: PGA300
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA900, USB2ANY

Hello,

In parallel with the PGA900 study, i'm also working on the PGA300. We have just received the evaluation board named PGA300EVM-034.

Installation procedure is well-completed (PGA300 Software, Python & USB2ANY), jumpers are fitted as required in the PGA300 User's guide and Hardware is detected and active in the software.

Unfortunately, impossible to activate OWI. As you can see in the log file, no errors appaear. Is there anything to do? Would it be possible to send us the last update USB2ANY TXT file?

Else, I tried to use the evaluation board EVM-034 with PGA900 software. I can see the PGA300 EEPROM values so, the eval board is working well.

For you information, this project is critical for us. We need to know asap if we go on with PGA300/PGA900 or if we need to shift to a back-up solution.

  • Hi Corentin,

The most up to date USB2ANY firmware that is appropriate for the GUI version you have is included with the GUI installation. If the USB2ANY was not compatible, or not up to date, it would not properly connect with the GUI at all.

Before clicking the button to activate OWI, you must first set all of the settings in the OWI configuration page. It is not necessary to change the settings, but each time the EVM is powered on you will have to reset the OWI configuration settings by clicking the buttons shown below:

Can you please send a picture of your board, so that I can see the jumper configurations you are using?

    Regards,

  • Hi Scott,
Very nice. After reseting the three buttons it's working well
I haven't seen that we have to reset the OWI Configuration settings by clicking on the 3 buttons before to activate OWI Mode.
    Thanks for your help
    Regards,

    Corentin
