TSW1400EVM: TSW1400 Intel Altera FPGA Project

1) In your screen shot the mouse pointer is pointing to the Quartus project with the FPGA firmware design.  I was able to run this installer and find the quartus project in <install dir>/Source Code    There are two projects, one for ADC and one for DAC.  You will have to unzip it after the install.

2) We support scripting of the HSDC Pro tool. See examples in C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\HSDCPro Automation DLL\Manual and Examples
There is a python example in the directory as well. We do not support lower level calls to the hardware. If that is required I would suggest to work through the firmware design and modify it for your needs.

Thanks for your reply.  The following link has problem: The file is not expected file. I was looking for a Intel Altera FPGA Project for TSW1400 based on Stratix 4 FPGA. Instead of Intel Altera FPGA project, the file is the installation project of TSW1400.  Please guide me.

Please see the  screen shot which shows the failed project. Please guide me what I am missing. I am using Intel Altera Quartus Prime Pro 17.1 version of software

Hello Redwood,

I am attaching a picture of the modifications to enable the JTAG connector.  I think this is all that is needed.  Basically we are disconnecting the FTDI device and connecting the JTAG port.

Please correct me if I misunderstood.  With this modification, We are sacrificing USB interface (HSDC Pro) in order to program the device with Altera JTAG interface. 

My end goal is to update the FPGA code and to control the board with HSDC Pro. Later develop my scripting interface instead of HSDC Pro. 

Please guide me how to achieve my end goal.

FPGA design content is not important. 

The problem is that TSW1400 board doesn't allow us to update the FPGA code while we can use HSDC Pro.

1- Transferring data asynchronous or synchronous is not important. 

2- With current system, we have to remove the resistors, after that put it back in order to just try some minor changes on the FPGA code. This is not practical. The firmware developers may have a different method than this.

The firmware team may have a alternative solution such that:

      " While they are changing the FPGA code, they have a utility Which allow them to communicate with the board like HSDC Pro "

 Question 1: Can we get their platform described above?
