AMC1210: Exciter output frequency and level

Part Number: AMC1210
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA411-Q1

Dear Team,

My customer would like to use a resolver on their automotive motor control project. They first decided to work with AMC1210, but the exciter output may not be a good fit for their resolver. The resolver requires 7V and 10kHz signal. On the EVM GUI, there is an option for frequency dividers, when it is selected as "3", then 10.5kHz output freq can be achieved. To adjust the level, an opamp can also be used at the output of PWMx. Do you think this is a correct use of AMC1210?

I also offered PGA411 since the part offers higher level of integration and it has Q100 version. Do you think PGA411 could be a better alternative?

Best Regards,

Caglar
