ADS1118: Multi channel Thermocouple

Hello,

As ADS1118 provides 2 Channel Thermocouple SPI output, my requirement is to have at least 4 o 8 channel thermocouple (J- Type and K-Type) with I2C output.

Can anyone suggest any similar product to full fill my requirements.

Also for 2 channel input, is I2C output available.?

    I don't know of any devices that have 4 to 8 channels with I2C communications. The ADS1248 and the newer ADS124S08 both use SPI communications. With so many channels to configure and to read data from, generally SPI is more common because it is typically faster than I2C.

    As for a two channel version, the ADS1115 is similar to an I2C version of the ADS1118, with different specifications, but it does not have an on-board temperature sensor. There is also the new ADS112C04 (16-bit), and the ADS122C04 (24-bit) which have an I2C interface.
