ADS1675: ADS1675 - 32Mhz Clock Amplitude

Part Number: ADS1675
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV1T32

Hi,all.I wrongly connected the ADS1675 Clock Input Pin (CLK) to a 3.3V-amplitude clock, however my AVDD is 5V. The datasheet shows that the clock amplitude should be equal to AVDD,I want to know if my ADS will work under such conditions.

Can someone assist me with this?

Thanks,

Lingran

  • Hi Lingran,

Welcome to our e2e forum!  The ADS1675 may 'work' with the 3.3V clock, but it may not meet datasheet specifications for performance or over temperature.  You should consider using something like an SN74LV1T32 powered from the same 5V as the ADS1675 to level shift your 3.3V clock.  You can review the ADS1675REF Users Guide (see schematic on page 20) for a idea of how to make the connections.
