ADS1232: ADS1232 power-down and power-up repeatedly, find the initial value change

Part Number: ADS1232

repeatedly power-down then power-up, most of the result is same, for example as -9700, but sometimes the value will be very different, for example 3267426.

there is no issue on the measurement, just the power-up initial value change. So do you have some idea on this issue? Thanks.

  • Hi Robin,

When cycling power on an off quickly there can be an issue with improper reset (POR) and incorrect gain trim values get loaded into the ADS1232. This requires pulsing the PDWN pin to properly reset the ADS1232 after the supplies have reached nominal value. We need to make a datasheet update at some point to add this information.
