I'm loading the AMC7834EVM support software but I get stuck with the "Loading Main.vi" message in the title screen and it just stays there.

Using Windows 10.

Suggestions anyone?

Hi Omid,

Can you confirm that you have the SDM-USB-DIG plugged in to the computer? Does the device get detected?

Hi Paul, yes I have tried it with the USB plug and it does get detected as a COM port. I have tried it without the USB as well, and get the same frozen startup screen each time.

In you Device Manager window, what does the SDM-USB-DIG detect as?

Also, please try installing the file from this link: e2e.ti.com/.../442674

It was detected as a generic COM device. After installing the driver you suggested it enumerates as a TI MSP430 COM device.

The behavior of the AMC7834EVM software hasn't changed. It still loads with the same message and then locks up.

Hi Omid,

I have verified that the software runs on Windows 10 PCs. Can you check if you have any firewall or antivirus protection software that could be preventing the software from running?

My system is using the standard Windows Defender, and I have tried disabling the firewall and get the same results. There may be other protections on my system which are locked because of corporate policy, but if there is something specifically in firewall settings that needs to be turned on or off then I can try it as well.

Hi Omid,

Can you try the software on another PC? We have had a few questions in the last few weeks about this issue. In general we have found that there is some other piece of software that is blocking operation.
