ADS42JB69EVM: Can this board work with ZCU102?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS42JB46EVM, CC1310

Hello Everyone,

I want to connect an cc1310 from TI with the ZCU102 Evaluation Board to receiver an heartbeat or a short burst msg over RF(~868 MHZ). I’ve read in another topic (link to related topic see below) that it is probably possible to use an FCM-Card(JESD204b) on an VCU118 to do that. My problem is I didn’t found any supported card for the ZCU102 i use in the list like the author of the Topic. I would prefere an FCM-Card like the ADS42JB46EVM from TI. So here comes my question is it generally possible to implement an RFSoC on the ZCU102 and if so do anyone have an idea how and would be so nice and tell me. I also read that the ‘Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC’ concludes all this but I didn’t found any Prototype Board or evaluation kit witch implements this. If that what I want to do is not possible can someone refer a evaluation kit witch I can use ore do you have an other solution to connect one ore several cc1310 with an ZCU102?

thank you in advance

  • Hello Julian,
We do not have any reference design for the ZCU102, but the board has standard FMC connectors. Our ADS42JB46EVM also utilizes the FMC connector style so their pinouts will match.

Please review the connections in the EVM design package (Schematic Page 5) and compare against the ZCU102 pinout.

We do have a few Xilinx reference designs for JESD devices that might help your implementation:
    ADC32RF45EVM using KCU105
Also look into the TSW14J10EVM, which allows use of HSDC Pro on some Xilinx platforms (we do not support ZCU102 directly, sorry)

For questions about the CC1310 I would request you start another post so that it can be assigned with the microcontroller engineers.

    Regards,
    Brian
