ADS1220: AVDD & DVDD conect to Power supply with a bread(BLM18PG181SN1,Maruta) May cause problem of Internal Reference?

Part Number: ADS1220
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1259

Hi,

In the question ADS1259: REFOUT voltage drift over 7mV ,the bread(L14 L16) cause the REFOUT changing from 2.5V to 2.53V.

Dose ADS1220 have the same problem?

Should I change L3 & L7 to 0 Ohm resistance?

  • Hi Bobbylst,

The reference is different between the ADS1259 and ADS1220 so it is difficult to say if this specific issue will occur. However, we do not recommend using any inductance (including ferrites) on the supply lines or grounds as this may cause startup or other issues. If you want to add some filtering to the supplies, it is better to use 1-2 ohms resistance instead to create a low pass filter.

So you should either replace L3 and L7 with 0 ohm or some low ohm value of resistance.

    Best regards,
