Part Number: ADS8588S
Customer is considering ADS8588SIPM and trying to use the serial read. Is data transfer speed of the device is sufficient to run all channels at 200kSamp/Sec ? If yes, could you please provide the analysis? Thanks

Hello Naser,
ADS8588S supports the "Data Read during ongoing conversion". Please check the diagram.
The device also supports data readout in SPI mode using 2 SDO pins namely DOUTA and DOUTB.
Please note, you will be reading the conversion data for sample "n-1" when the device is converting sample "n".
It is important to read all the data before BUSY falls to logic state "low".
The time available to read = tCONV - tDZ_CNCS - tDZ_CSBSY = 3.7us - 10ns - 40ns = 3.65us
To read 8 channel data using 2 SDO pins, number of clocks required is 64
Hence clock period needed is 3.65us/64 = 57ns
This corresponds to SCLK freq = 17.5MHz
Thanks,
Shridhar.
Hello Naser,
Please find the image below.

The image is available as Fig 2 in the datasheet. http://www.ti.com/ods/images/SBAS642A/tim_data_read_sbas642.gif
