DAC5675A: Need high speed DAC for set point - need direction

Part Number: DAC5675A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS3217,

Hello,

I'm looking for some direction regarding approach and part selection for a DAC application.  We have a system with comparators on it and we need to set their target threshold as fast as possible.  We want to be able to change this on the fly, but we have to do it quickly.  The thresholds won't necessarily be changing too often, but when they do it has to be very fast.  So I'm looking for a fast DAC that could do this and it seems like all of the high speed ones produce a differential current based output.  The part number in this post is an example of one of them.  I've also found the THS3217 that looks like it can convert this to a voltage which is ideal because I need to output a voltage.  These types of chips seem like a lot for this type of application though.  Is it even possible to use a 500Msps DAC to set a DC voltage for comparators like this or am I going down a rabbit hole?
